Lately I have been receiving a lot of inquiries asking for Apartments & Villas as a stay option while planning a Wedding in Goa, good news is there are plenty of choices 🙂
Families could plan their stay with guests in these Villas & apartments and still plan wedding events to take place at nearby Luxury Beach Resorts or private beach venues.
Villas in Goa
Goa is very much popular for those tastefully done beach front Villas, you can comfortably spend long stays in these Villas which are self serviced. Normally these Villas offer 2-6 Bedroom accommodation with Kitchen, living area and some outdoor space. These Villas are indevidually rented out by owners or sometimes the Agent/Marketing companies. There are few marketing companies which have tied up with hundreds of Villa owners all across Goa and work as one point contact for Reservations.
The only challenge is if there is a large Wedding party and looking for hiring out only Villas, the guests would need to be spread out into various Villas which may or may not be located in the same vicinity which could pose a logistic problem.
Villas are costlier depending upon the location, furnishing and period of year. May range anywhere from Rs. 50000 to 300000 per Week’s rental.
So what is the option?
Apartments in Goa
While Villas are the individual Houses, there are service apartments also abundantly available in Goa. They are different from Guest Houses since they are self service and fully furnished like your Home.
Apartments are usually located closer to market and main Road for a better access, have 1-4 Bedrooms with Kitchen and living area. If you are lucky, you may get a Balcony with some view!
Families can take up combination of single Bed Room to 4 Bed Room apartments and accommodate even up to 150 guests together in same compound.
Apartments in Goa are still cost effective and again depending upon the location, services offered, furnishing etc may range anywhere from Rs. 1200 to 2500 per person per night.
Here is one such combination which is my favorite,
A very well maintained and furnished Apartment with 16 Studio Rooms (sleeps 3 person each) and 8 One Bed Room Apartments (sleeps 4 person each). This totals to about 80 guests in same complex. Located in Mojorda, south Goa and pretty much a walk away from Beach.
Bride/Groom family could stay at this Villa which is located 5 minutes drive from the Apartment, villa has 3 Bedrooms (sleeps 6-8 person). Superb location, well furnihsed and logistically perfect.
This stay is coupled with the semi private beach location at Utorda beach which we have been using to organise pre wedding and wedding festivities for almost 11 years now. Its one of the most popular Shack for Seafood in Goa. Fit for a chill out Party! Located 4-5 minutes drive from Apartment & Villa.
Besides this, 5* Resorts like Hyatt, Kenilworth, Majorda Beach Resort, Alila Diwa are just close by making it easier to hold the main wedding day with a more luxurious feel. Optionally popular Wedding Resorts like Taj Exotica & Zuri are 15-20 minutes drive away.
